About The Brand
Mark Norris and told me a beautiful story about a man who migrated to Dorset in the 1950's and opened up a fishmongers. He was talking about his father. While Mark's father is no longer with us, Mark was keen to continue in his footsteps. So, in 2015, alongside his friend and business partner, Jose Alba, they formed Norris & Alba.
Business has been booming so much for the duo, they have decided to take a leap into a slightly different market, extending their successful fishmongers into a seafood restaurant.

Project Goal
I was tasked to recreate this business identity from scratch. A new logo, customised typography and brand guidelines for Norris & Alba to implement moving forward, were required. Norris & Alba wanted me to capture an essence of the old-school, traditional fish monger that Norris's father loved, whilst also applying a modern twist to their identity for connecting with the younger demographic.

Project Deliverables
After I created an identity system, I was then tasked to create some extra assets that would play a massive role in driving the identity home. These assets included a menu design, coasters and a mural which would then be hand drawn with chalk at a later date by artist Andrew Miller.
